The securities market of Ukraine doubled

An important benchmark for the Ukrainian securities market is achieving a level of global financial markets, the increased demand for shares of the Ukrainian issuers by foreign funds, as well as the gradual movement of the stock market with the currency market and Bank deposits, according to FinPost.

According to the Securities Commission on the development of the stock market of Ukraine during January-August 2017, the total amount of issues of securities amounted to 121,7 billion. It was on 63,56 billion UAH more than in January-August 2016.

For 8 months of this year, NSSMC has registered 87 issues of shares in the amount 104,36 billion. Compared to the same period in 2016, the volume of registered share issues increased by 62,85 billion. A significant volume of shares, which significantly affected the overall structure of issues registered during the specified period, was carried out with the purpose of increasing the authorized capital of PJSC "BANK Credit Dnepr" and PJSC "ProCredit Bank". In addition, in January-August of 2017, the regulator registered the 64 issues of enterprises bonds in the amount of 3,74 billion.

The Commission also was 2 of an issue of option certificates for the total amount of 32,45 million. (January-August 2016, there was not one issue of these financial instruments).

  • Exchange segment
The volume of trading in securities in January-August 2017 amounted to 131,82 billion. This result was proved by 10.68% less than in the eight months of 2016. The volume of exchange contracts with securities on the primary market amounted to 2.94% and on the secondary market — 97,66%.

The financial instruments with the highest trading volume on the stock exchanges in January-August were recorded with the state bonds of Ukraine. The trading volume amounted to 4,19 billion, in corporate bonds — UAH 2.96 billion, with derivatives — UAH 2.43 bn, investment certificates — 31,26 mln.
