The list of a large-scale privatization in Ukraine was reduced from 26 to 23 objects

Last week it became known that the list of a large-scale privatization was reduced. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine published the list of enterprises for a large-scale privatization consisting of 23 objects instead of 26.

Three positions were excluded from the list: Aluminum foil factory, “Agrarian Fund”, State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine.

According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers the list includes five regional energy prodaction companies: "Tsentrenergo", Odessa portside plant "Turboatom", Zaporozhye Titanium & Magnesium Combine, United Mining and Chemical Company and “Sumykhimprom”.

The order of the Cabinet also instructed the State Property Fund to ensure the selection of advisers for the preparation of these objects for privatization. If there would be a lack of interest from advisers, the SPF have to prepare the enterprises itself. In addition, the SPF must develop the modalities for privatization and submit them to the government for approval.
