In January-September, 2017 Ukraine put into operation 6.8 million square meters of the housing area, the press service of the Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine. The current rate is 21.4% higher than the same period in 2016.
While 58,6% of the total area put into operation of housing was introduced in apartment buildings, 40.9 percent in private homes and 0.5% - in hostels.
In General, over three quarters were commissioned for 84.4 thousand apartments.
In the cities of Ukraine were put into operation only 4.9 million sqm of housing (71,8%), in rural areas - 1.9 million sqm (28.2 percent).
