The salary for housing: rent apartments in Ukraine was the most expensive in the world

Ukrainian cities topped the world ranking, the ratio of wages and prices to rental housing. Ukrainians who live in large cities, pay the rent almost all earnings – 80% of salary, reports “Segodnya.”

In Odessa Olga CITIC with her sister rents an “f” for 10 thousand hryvnias.

“Even half the cost of the lease is 60% of my salary,” laments Olga.

In Lviv, the apartment is too expensive. Young family Romanchak in Lviv has to rent an apartment. For a one bedroom is Western renovation and with bare walls, Oleg and Elena give almost half of income – 4950 UAH. But they say that it's not expensive because in the city center the price is much higher.

“Most real estate agents have said prices have risen due to the fact that was a lot of it specialists in Lviv. The demand for quality housing has increased, so the prices for apartments are in principle high,” says Elena.

It was in Lviv and Odessa, Ukrainians give more than 80% of the monthly earnings on rent. In Hungary, Slovakia or Poland, renting an apartment, people give less than half a paycheck. Italian Eduardo de Silva lives in the center of Brussels and sports a beautiful view from the window. The apartment cost him 550 euros or almost 20 thousand UAH. But this is only a third of the income of the husband. The apartment has two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and a room under the roof.

“I came to Brussels from Milan, one of the most expensive cities. Real estate and rental in Milan is even more expensive than in Brussels. But salaries are higher in Brussels, here I spend for a third of income,” said Eduardo.

Among the European countries the cheapest way to rent a house in Luxembourg. There is not only good options but on average the rent “picks up” only a third of the salary. Elena lives in the small town of Leudelange in Luxembourg. The cost of an apartment is 1500 Euro per month, that is 30% of family income. Now Elena is considering to buy their own home mortgage.

“There is no need for the first payment. You can take a 100% mortgage, and we certainly plan to do so in the near future”, – says Elena.

But Ukrainians on the best mortgage terms possible unless to dream of. For example, if you take installments for 20 years, that person will have to pay for two apartments. And if you defer payments to get out of debt difficult. So the only way out is to accumulate and in dollars.

At least $ 7,000 you need for a down payment. If the person is postponed for 100 dollars – it will be 70 months. Thus, to gather to take a one-bedroom apartment in the mortgage will have six years. But with minimum wage, count on the experts will have to postpone all my life.
